Shakira at the Pyramids of Giza: The Concert of the Year — and How to Live It

Shakira at the Pyramids of Giza is set for 28 November 2026 — and it is much more than a date in a tour calendar. Some concerts are just concerts. And some nights are written into memory like a journey: Shakira returns to Egypt after almost twenty years for a landmark performance at the Pyramids of Giza on 28 November 2026 — before the only surviving wonder of the ancient world.

What exactly was announced

The show is part of the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour and was originally scheduled for April 2026 before moving to 28 November 2026. It is Shakira’s first performance in Egypt since 2007 — she announced it speaking Arabic, promising a night that will be talked about for years. Tickets are sold through the organiser’s official network.

Why this night is more than a concert

Concert crowd in front of the Pyramids of Giza

The Pyramids have hosted only a handful of carefully chosen musical moments — from Jean-Michel Jarre and Sting to today’s cinematic electronic-music nights. Each time, the setting does half the work: the desert, the light on 4,500-year-old limestone, the feeling of standing in a place that has watched the centuries pass. You don’t watch a concert there — you live it like a pilgrimage.

How to pair it with a real journey through Egypt

Aerial view of Cairo and the Nile river

Late November is one of the best seasons for Egypt: mild temperatures, ideal for Cairo, the Pyramids and the Nile. The logic is simple — once you’ve come this far, don’t leave it at one night:
  • Cairo in 4–5 days: the Pyramids & the Sphinx, the new Grand Egyptian Museum, the Citadel of Saladin and the Khan el-Khalili bazaar — see our Cairo programme.
  • Or the full journey: Cairo, Alexandria, a Nile cruise and Hurghada — read our complete Egypt travel guide.

Practical advice before you book

November is high season in Egypt — and a night like this will fill the city. Book flights and accommodation early, buy tickets only through the official network, and allow generous time for transfers to Giza: on concert night, the roads to the plateau will be a celebration of their own.
