We have gathered our travellers’ most frequent questions — about bookings, payments and everything worth knowing before you travel. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, we are always one phone call away.
Booking Process & Payments
How can I book a trip?
You can book online directly through our website for up to 4 people. Pick your date on the calendar, select the number of travellers and check availability — the final price appears and you can continue to payment and confirmation.
Alternatively, or for groups of more than 4, contact us by phone at +30 231 231 3519 or email us at info@travelgenius.gr with the booking you would like to make.
What about cancellations or changes to my booking?
Cancellation and amendment policies vary by trip. When you book your place you receive the contract with all terms clearly stated, so you know exactly how cancellations and changes work. For more information, call us at +30 231 231 3519 or email your request to info@travelgenius.gr.
Which payment methods are available?
We accept debit and credit cards, bank transfer, or payment in person at our offices. A 35% deposit is required at booking, with the balance due no later than 14 days before departure.
Bank transfers can be made to the following accounts:
IBAN: GR9402602570000230201627162
IBAN: GR2201407210721002002007475
IBAN: GR98 0171 5590 0065 5914 6108 767
IBAN: GR23 0110 2400 0000 2400 0878 827
After your transfer, please send us: full name, address, phone, postcode, the trip you are joining and the amount paid (deposit or balance).
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes — you can pay in up to 6 interest-free instalments, with full payment completed 14 days before departure. Online, payment via Klarna is also available.
Can I secure my place with a deposit?
Of course — paying the deposit secures your place early. The payment methods above apply.
How early should I book?
The earlier the better — group places are limited and the best flight fares are secured early. As soon as you see a date that suits you, secure your place with the deposit. For tailor-made journeys, we recommend starting the conversation a few months ahead, so there is plenty of choice in flights and accommodation.
If the departure city doesn’t suit me, can I fly from elsewhere?
On selected experiences Genius Travel offers the #MeetusThere option: book the trip without flights and meet the group directly at the destination. Alternatively, we can help you arrange alternative flights by phone at +30 231 231 3519.
Are there any hidden charges?
No — there are no hidden charges. The price includes all taxes and fees, and any optional activities with extra cost are clearly listed in each trip programme.
What does the insurance cover?
The Civil Liability Insurance — mandatory for all travel agencies — is automatically included with every booking and covers travellers’ claims arising from non-performance or improper performance of an organised trip. It also covers, in the event of insolvency or bankruptcy, the refund of amounts paid and the repatriation of travellers. Optional additional travel insurance with INTERAMERICAN is available for all participants.
In case of illness during a trip within the European Union, we recommend contacting your insurance provider to issue the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).

Travelling Abroad & Common Questions
How big are the groups usually?
We travel in flexible groups of up to 30 people in a private, air-conditioned coach. We choose this group size to offer maximum comfort on the road while maintaining the highest quality of guiding and service.
Do I need a passport or ID card to travel?
For any trip within the EU, citizens of EU countries can travel with a new-type national ID card* or a passport. For destinations outside the EU, a passport valid for at least 6 months is required.
*From 03/08/2026, old-type (blue) Greek ID cards are no longer recognised as valid travel documents within the European Union (Article 5(2)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2025/1208).
Do I need a visa?
Greek citizens do not need a visa for tourist visits to Morocco. Outside the EU a visa is generally required — for some destinations pre-approval is needed, while for others the visa is issued locally. The required travel documents are listed on each experience.
Are destinations outside Europe safe?
Absolutely. This is exactly why we offer a limited number of thoroughly tested destinations, focusing on quality over quantity. All our programmes are designed around your safety and comfort. Our experienced tour leaders, trusted local partners and constant assessment of conditions let you discover the world beyond Europe with complete confidence.
What about currency and money? Can I use my card?
On our trips outside the EU, credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard) are generally widely accepted for everyday purchases. However, in some destinations or local markets, cash in the local currency remains essential.
No need to worry about the details: the detailed programme of each trip includes precise, country-specific information, and your tour leader will be by your side to guide you whenever needed.
Are the trips suitable for solo travellers?
Naturally. Many of our travellers join on their own. Our groups offer a sense of company and security, making it easy to connect with fellow travellers. For single-room accommodation, the standard hotel supplement applies.
How tiring is the programme? How many hours of travel are there?
Our programmes are designed to balance exploration and rest. Daily activities follow a smooth pace, avoiding unnecessary and exhausting transfers, so you can enjoy the destination without rushing. Every experience has its own character — duration and travel times vary. You will find all the details in each trip’s day-by-day programme, so you know exactly what to expect!
